The purpose of this position is to provide competent credit analysis forcommercial loan activities. This position will take part in the documentationreview of proposed and existing commercial loans. The credit analyst will provide high qualityanalytical services so informed decisions can be made.
Responsive ? Analyst will respond to a BDO request for underwriting within an 8 hrworkday time frame.
Due Diligence ? Analyst will perform appropriate due diligence when underwritingproposed or existing credits for data integrity and credit quality in order toprotect the Bank.
Communication ? Analyst will at all times facilitate an environment of opencommunication by way of corresponding with BDO's and Management in a timely andpro active manner.
Accountability ? Analyst will hold himself/herself accountable for the timely completionof underwriting request. Offeringassistance and suggestions to BDO's to bolster internal relationships and aidin the loan approval process.

Complete the spreading of financialinformation for thorough credit analysis that will result in sound creditdecision making.
Analyze the financial statements forstrengths and weaknesses, cash flow and liquidity. Compare to historical data and industryaverages.
Analyze loan requests, performingwritten evaluations for all proposed commercial loans, making recommendationfor appropriate loan structuring including but not limited to collateral, termand covenants. This would also includeanalyzing potential risk factors and the determination of mitigants, if any toBank risk.
Assist in the completion of annualreviews on all Commercial credit lines and term debt in accordance withCommunity Bank Loan Policy.
Work with Commercial RelationshipOfficers to obtain current financial information on existing and proposed loansand track and scan into Accu-systems the receipt of such information in atimely manner.
Apply financial information to establishthe current position of borrowers with regard to any financial or other changeswhich could affect the customer's ability to meet its commitment to theBank. This includes, but is not limitedto, monitoring borrowing base lines of credit, deposit balances, accountactivity and performing credit checks.
Update Commercial Relationship Officerswith respect to credit regulations and procedures as well as credit analysistraining for loan officers and other personnel as directed.
Assist in the reconciliation of CreditReport usage reports on a monthly basis.
Have the ability to review all appraisalrequests and send appraisal engagement letters. In addition complete theappraisal review checklist on all appraisals related to commercial loans.
Compile and present commercial loanreports or other material requested by Senior Management, Bank officers orcommittees as requested.
Perform credit references for creditrequests from various banks and companies as requested.
Contact with customers, employees,accountants and the community as required; to conducts relationships in amanner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the Bank.
Will be called upon from time to time toparticipate in community organizations and events.

Work Environment:
Thisjob operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely usesstandard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filingcabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the workenvironment is usually quiet
Physical Demands:
Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sitand use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally requiredto stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl andtalk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
PositionType/Expected Hours of Work:
Someflexibility in hours is necessary based on the location assignments, but theemployee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday.
Travel for this position is limited to travel formeetings/training.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a business related field; minimum threeyears of experience in a Bank Commercial credit department preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Generally, more than three years of banking or related experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Abilityto read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, andmemos. Ability to write simplecorrespondence. Ability to effectivelypresent information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employeesof the organization.
Abilityto add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions,and decimals. Ability to compute rate,ratio, and percent.
Abilityto apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten, oral, or diagram form. Abilityto deal with problems involving customer relations issues.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
